Wind advisory issued for Los Angeles County for Thursday – wind gusts reaching 45 mph

Los Angeles County is under a wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:59 a.m. The advisory is valid for Thursday, Jan. 8 between 4 a.m. and 9 p.m.

“North winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected,” the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA said. “Wet soils will increase the likelihood of damage due to fallen trees.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS.
