China reviews Meta's purchase of AI startup Manus: FT

Chinese authorities are reviewing Meta’s acquisition of AI startup Manus for possible breaches of technology export rules, the Financial Times reported. Officials are assessing whether moving Manus’ staff and technology to Singapore and the consequent sale ​to Meta required an export licence. The review is at an early stage and may not lead to a formal investigation, but could still affect the deal.
