Pro-Life Voters to President Trump: No Compromise on Hyde

Students for Life Action (SFLAction) President Kristan Hawkins made the following statement, in light of President Trump’s comments earlier today to the GOP to be “flexible” about allowing for abortions to be covered in taxpayer subsidized plans. The legal protection known as the Hyde Amendment limits taxpayer funding of abortion to cases of rape and incest, or when the mother’s life is in danger.

Hawkins said: “Any healthcare plan that prioritizes a ‘deal’ over saving lives – in and out of the womb – deserves to die, not children.
