‘Thank you, Trump’: video of crying Venezuelans thanking the US is AI-generated

A video showing emotional Venezuelans celebrating the capture of Nicolas Maduro - and thanking Donald Trump - was widely shared on social media, and even reposted by Elon Musk. The clip however, is AI generated. It joins several other false videos claiming to show joy and celebrations in Venezuela, either via dated or out of context clips.
