Rampaging elephants return to Keonjhar, trigger fear

A herd of 25 wild elephants caused widespread panic and damage in Keonjhar's Patna range, destroying paddy crops and five homes. The elephants, which crossed NH-49, consumed stored grains and damaged household properties in Kiapada and Khuntapada villages. Elephant driving squads are monitoring the herd to prevent further destruction.
