Air pollution: Car now status symbol, people saving money to buy 4-wheelers, says CJI Surya Kant

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant observed that cars have become status symbols, leading people to abandon bicycles. He suggested that the wealthy should sacrifice by opting for electric vehicles instead of high-end ones. The Supreme Court also criticized the Commission for Air Quality Management for its lack of seriousness in addressing Delhi-NCR's worsening air pollution.
