Monroe doctrine "clearly not an acceptable doctrine in a modern world", law professor says

Speaking with FRANCE 24's Mark Owen, Claire Finkelstein, Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania, explains that the raid to capture Nicolas Maduro represents a violation of international sovereignty as well as infringing on US Congress' war powers. She adds that the Monroe doctrine referenced by Donald Trump is "a political doctrine about Western hegemony and it's clearly not an acceptable doctrine in a modern world".
