Wells Fargo hit with $33 million settlement — customers may receive surprise checks

Wells Fargo customers who were misled into paying for "free" monthly subscriptions will receive a share of a $33 million settlement. The bank allegedly facilitated Apex, Triangle, and Tarr entities in enrolling consumers without consent. Eligible consumers can claim compensation with proof of loss or a $20 flat payment by March 4, 2026.
