Will ensure adequate representation of specially abled lawyers in state bar councils: SC

The Supreme Court will ensure representation for specially abled advocates in state bar council elections through co-option in committees. The nomination fee for these advocates has been reduced from Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 15,000. The court also urged the Bar Council of India to initiate statutory amendments for future elections.
