NHAI flags 424 mobile blackspots across highways, seeks better coverage

The National Highways Authority of India has flagged poor mobile network coverage on highways and expressways as a safety concern, saying it disrupts emergency communication and highway operations. NHAI has identified 424 telecom blackspots covering about 1,750 km and has asked telecom regulator TRAI to direct operators to improve connectivity.
