Update: Anticipate strong thunderstorms in Los Angeles County early Sunday evening – gusts may reach 40 mph

Malibu, Los Angeles County Beaches, Los Angeles County Inland Coast including Downtown Los Angeles, Eastern Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area and San Fernando Valley are included in an updated report for strong thunderstorms by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 5:27 p.m. The alert is in effect until 6:30 p.m.

Residents can be ready for wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
