North Korean leader Kim Jong-un personally observed a missile drill on Sunday, designed to test the readiness of the country’s “war deterrent,” in a move that came just hours after Pyongyang condemned recent US military intervention in Venezuela.

The drill, conducted early Sunday morning local time, involved a hypersonic missile launched from Pyongyang’s Ryokpho District.
