Wind advisory for Los Angeles County until Saturday night – wind gusts reaching 45 mph

Western San Gabriel Mountains/Highway 14 Corridor, Eastern San Gabriel Mountains, Western Antelope Valley Foothills and Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills are under a wind advisory which was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1 a.m. The advisory is valid between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

“South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected,” according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “Wet soils will increase the likelihood of damage due to fallen trees.”
