Update: Wind advisory active for 5 Freeway north of LA until Saturday evening – gusts as high as 50 mph

5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita, Santa Barbara County Interior Mountains, Southern Ventura County Mountains and Northern Ventura County Mountains were placed under an updated wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1 a.m. The advisory is in effect until 6 p.m.

“South to southwest winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph,” can be anticipated according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “Wet soils will increase the likelihood of damage due to fallen trees.”
