Richmond IHOP murder suspect dies from self-inflicted gunshot wound
RICHMOND — A man accused of killing his colleague at a local breakfast restaurant has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities confirmed Friday.
The suspect, a 44-year-old man whose name has not been released, died at a hospital after shooting himself outside the San Pablo Police Department. His suicide occurred on Dec. 30, the day after he allegedly shot and killed Romario Raso Garcia in the kitchen of an IHOP at the 3400 block of Klose Way in the Hilltop area of Richmond where both men worked.
