On Monday (December 15), Anthony‘s husband Claudio Gama announced that the soap opera icon, who played Luke Spencer, died as the result of complications from an operation three days earlier in the Netherlands. He was 78-years-old.

More than two weeks after his passing, General Hospital paid tribute to Anthony with a special encore of his final episode.
