China's six naval vessels, one official ship encircle Taiwan

Taiwan's defense ministry reported detecting numerous Chinese naval vessels, an official ship, and two balloons near its waters on Friday. This follows Thursday's detection of Chinese aircraft and more naval activity, including a sortie crossing the median line. Taiwan's National Security Council Secretary-General thanked the US for urging restraint amid China's provocative drills.
