Odisha transport dept to use AI-based geofencing software to issue PUCC

Odisha's transport department is mandating geofencing for auto emission testing centers to combat fake pollution certificates. This new GPS-based system, PUCC version 2.0, will require physical vehicle inspection, live video, and photographic evidence captured within a virtual boundary before certificates are issued. The move aims to ensure genuine emission tests and curb air pollution.
