Yosemite under a winter weather advisory Saturday and Sunday – gusts may reach 40 mph

Yosemite, Upper San Joaquin River, Kaiser to Rodgers Ridge and Kings Canyon NP were placed under a winter weather advisory by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 12:35 a.m. The advisory is valid from Saturday 1 a.m. until Sunday Jan. 4, at 1 p.m.

The NWS Hanford CA says to expect, “Total snow accumulations of 6 inches to around 1 foot above 6,000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.”
