To the editor: Teacher program lauded

Misrepresentation! Bias! Contempt! These are words that describe the editorial in the Sunday, “Editorial: Stick to sound savings, TPS.” The writer either willfully or ignorantly aims their blatant intolerance of teachers’ professionalism and disdain of teachers’ unions squarely at the Toledo Plan, a nationally recognized (Innovations in Government award) mentoring/​evaluation program initiated in Toledo in 1981 that has been copied by numerous districts throughout the country.
