5 Freeway through Grapevine placed under a flood watch Wednesday and Thursday triggered by substantial downpours

5 Freeway through Grapevine is under a flood watch which was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 1:38 p.m. The watch is valid from Wednesday 10 p.m. until Thursday Jan. 1, at 10 p.m.

According to the NWS Hanford CA, “Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.”

“Communities damaged from last week’s heavy rainfall are very susceptible to additional impacts. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of roads and low-lying, flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
