Wind advisory active for San Fernando Valley and Southern Ventura County Mountains until Monday afternoon

San Fernando Valley and Southern Ventura County Mountains are under a wind advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 7:29 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Monday Dec. 29, at 3 p.m.

“Northeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected,” according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA. “Wet soils will increase the likelihood of damage due to fallen trees.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Trees could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” the NWS said.
