Lafayette opens warming shelter in advance of freezing weather

The Lafayette Consolidated Government and the Lafayette Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness have opened a warming shelter at the Dupuis Recreation Center to provide refuge for individuals experiencing homelessness or those without adequate heat due to forecasted freezing temperatures.
