Flash flood warning active for Los Angeles County until Friday midday triggered by excessive rainfall
Los Angeles County is under a flash flood warning which was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:38 a.m. The warning is in effect until noon.
“At 3:38 a.m., Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated areas of heavy rain re-developing and becoming persistent over the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to 1 inch per hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Rock slides, mud slides, and debris flows will be possible,” according to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA.
