100,000-gallon sewage release closes water around Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro

Authorities issued an ocean water closure around Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro Thursday due to the release of approximately 100,000 gallons of sewage.

The closure affects an area three-quarters of a mile upstream and downstream from the beach, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
