Flood watch issued for Delta until early Friday evening due to prolonged rainfall

Delta is included in a flood watch released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:19 p.m. The watch is in effect until Friday Dec. 26, at 4 p.m.

According to the NWS Sacramento CA, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.”

“Excessive runoff will result in rises along area rivers, creeks, streams. Small streams and creeks may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in low-lying, poor drainage, and urban areas. Mudslides and rockslides may occur...
