Flood advisory in place for Alameda and Contra Costa counties Wednesday morning caused by significant rainfall
Alameda and Contra Costa counties are under a flood advisory which was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 3:18 a.m. The advisory is in effect until 6:15 a.m.
According to the NWS San Francisco CA, “Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.”
“Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways,” the NWS said. “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles....
