Disney world faces wave of closures in 2026 — one classic attraction will shut down forever
Disney World guests planning trips in 2026 should prepare for many attraction closures across the parks. EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After will temporarily shut on January 26 for animatronic upgrades, with a reopening anticipated in February. Cinderella’s Castle will also undergo repainting, though daytime construction is made to limit guest interruption, and fireworks shows will continue. At the same time, Animal Kingdom’s Dino Land U.S.A. will close permanently at the end of January to make way for the upcoming Encanto-inspired expansion.
