BlueBird Block-2: ISRO's heaviest rocket carrying US communication satellite lifts off

India’s Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday sent the 6,100 kg Bluebird Block-2 satellite into Low Earth Orbit aboard its LVM3-M6 rocket, marking the heaviest payload in LVM3 history. The mission, part of a commercial agreement between ISRO’s NewSpace India Ltd and US-based AST SpaceMobile, aims to provide global high-speed cellular broadband directly to smartphones.
