Why your take-home salary won't change much under new labour codes, clarifies labour ministry
New labour codes will not reduce take-home pay for employees whose Provident Fund deduction is on the statutory wage ceiling of Rs 15,000., the Labour Ministry said. The Ministry said that contributions beyond this limit are voluntary. An example shows take-home salary remaining Rs 56,400 for a Rs 60,000 monthly remuneration. Employees and employers can choose higher PF contributions.
