Teen charged with Oakland Kaiser killing security guard on his way home from work
OAKLAND — A 19-year-old has been charged with murdering a local security guard who was shot while walking home from work, allegedly by someone who was aiming at another person, court records show.
Jeremiah Crawford, of Union City, was charged with murder, two counts of shooting an occupied vehicle and three counts of shooting an unoccupied vehicle, all felonies. Police allege that on Aug. 27, 2025, Crawford was involved in a shooting on the 700 block of 17th Street in Oakland, where 68-year-old Tony Norman was killed.
