Upset about DC's lack of voting rights? Look to the Democrats.

The deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C. has led to a media and political meltdown. In the New York Times, a column  lamented that the military had not revolted against the civilian president.

Even, so, commentators declared a "coup" because the federal government reasserted its constitutional power over the federal district. A Justice Department employee went so far as to scream profanities at federal officers on the street and assault one of them with a submarine sandwich.
