Update: Heat advisory issued for San Gabriel Mountains and 5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita until Monday night

San Gabriel Mountains and 5 Freeway corridor near Santa Clarita was placed under an updated heat advisory by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 2:34 p.m. The advisory is in effect until Monday Aug. 11, at 9 p.m.

The NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA adds to anticipate, “Daytime high temperatures in the 80s and 90s at high elevation to the mid 90s to near 105 degrees in the foothills and high valleys. Overnight low temperatures will be in the 70s to low 80s.”
