Pakistan batting does the job as they overcome West Indies in 1st ODI

Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Talat led Pakistan to victory by five wickets over West Indies in the first One Day International at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium on Friday night.

Nawaz on debut, and Talat, playing in only his second ODI, shared an unbroken 104-run stand to rescue Pakistan. It took then to 284-5 in 48.5 overs in reply to the West Indies total of 280 in 49 overs.
