Stassney Lane bridge over I-35 closed this weekend for new lighting

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Stassney Lane bridge over Interstate 35 will be closed due to ongoing work as part of the I-35 Capital Express South project.

The Texas Department of Transportation said the south Austin bridge will close at 8 p.m. Friday and remain closed until 6 a.m. on Monday as crews work to set panels and install new lighting in the area.

There will be reductions on the main lanes of I-35, north and southbound, between State Highway 71/Ben White Boulevard and Slaughter Lane during the nighttime work.
