Victim, cause of death identified in Kinderhook Creek death investigation

STUYVESANT, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Detectives with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office have released the identity and cause of death for a person recovered in the Kinderhook Creek on Friday.

According to deputies, the victim has been identified as Angel Arnoldo Garcia Mendoza, 26, of Stuyvesant Falls. Deputies said the cause of death has been determined to be a drowning.
