Didarul Islam: Slain NYPD Officer Leaves Behind Pregnant Wife, 2 Kids

Didarul Islam was named as the New York police officer who was shot and killed by a gunman who entered a Park Avenue skyscraper in New York City on July 28.

"Police Officer Didarul Islam represented the very best of our department. He was protecting New Yorkers from danger when his life was tragically cut short today," the NYPD wrote in a statement.

The slain officer leaves behind two kids and a wife who is eight months pregnant, reported the New York Post, which identified the officer through sources.
