Dan Aykroyd finally revealed the real reason why he did not attend the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary special earlier this year. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor and comedian admitted he simply wanted to enjoy the celebratory special at home without any work commitments.

"I wanted to be at home and I wanted to watch the show beginning to end," Aykroyd, 73, admitted to the outlet. "I knew if I was there, I'd be in a dressing room, I’d be working. I wanted to see it live.
