Exclusion of Aadhaar, ration cards in SIR 'patently absurd': Petitioner NGO to Supreme Court

The NGO Association for Democratic Reforms has informed the Supreme Court that the Election Commission's decision to exclude Aadhaar and ration cards from the list of acceptable documents for Bihar's Special Intensive Revision is unreasonable. The NGO argues that this exclusion could disenfranchise a significant portion of Bihar's population, disrupting free and fair elections.
