Major cuts feared for a Great Lakes lab leading the fight against algal blooms

U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (D, Mich.) is one of several members of the Great Lakes congressional delegation who are sounding an alarm about how more cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s budget could reverse progress being made toward protecting North America’s largest collection of fresh surface water, especially western Lake Erie.
