Mamata Banerjee slams 'linguistic terrorism', bats for new language movement

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused certain entities of initiating a "language war" against Bengali speakers, alleging that individuals are being unjustly imprisoned for using their native tongue. She asserted that despite Bengali being spoken by approximately 300 million people, its speakers face persecution.
