Battery sharing model boosts savings for local energy communities

In a new collaboration with GIGA Storage, the University of Glasgow, and Princeton University, researchers at Centrum Wiskunde and Informatica (CWI) have developed a strategy to help energy communities and battery operators maximize financial benefits from shared battery storage. The team introduced a method to determine optimal rental capacity and pricing, ensuring mutual economic gains.
