Japan launches anti-dumping probe into stainless steel sheets from China, Taiwan

Japan has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into nickel-based stainless cold-rolled steel sheets and strips imported from China and Taiwan, prompted by a petition from domestic manufacturers like Nippon Steel. They allege that cheaper imports have forced them to lower prices amidst weakening domestic demand. The investigation, expected to conclude within a year, will determine whether anti-dumping duties will be imposed.
