McDonald's Dealing With Unfortunate Menu Item Shortage

McDonald's has brought back one of its most popular menu items, but the demand and popularity is leading to unintended consequences.

Some locations are reporting depleted supplies of lettuce and other toppings after the national re-launch of the popular Snack Wrap, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The lettuce shortages have become so pronounced that McDonald's has told franchisees in the United States to refrain from putting lettuce on McChicken sandwiches to help preserve supplies for the Snack Wrap.
