Journalist claims Man United still have interest in 'special' Bundesliga star

Manchester United are poised to intensify their efforts in search of a striker after reaching an agreement with Brentford for the transfer of Bryan Mbeumo.

United have submitted a £65 million plus £5m offer for the Cameroonian, and there is optimism that Brentford will accept their new bid.

Should the deal go through, Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are expected to play as the two number 10s, but United need a clinical striker to complement the duo.
