Dodgers’ bullpen leaning to the left with Michael Kopech’s latest injury

SAN FRANCISCO — The right side of the Dodgers’ bullpen took another hit this week.

On the injured list with right knee inflammation, continued discomfort led to surgery for Michael Kopech. The procedure to repair a torn meniscus will sideline him until at least the end of August.

“It was a minor cleanup,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “Don’t know a timetable. But it was just something that was bothering him. I think with the knee, if there’s certain things that trigger it then it’s just not sustainable to manage it.
