MCD likely to install rooftop solar panels on 989 buildings to cut power costs

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) plans to install rooftop solar power plants on 989 buildings, collaborating with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN) to reduce reliance on conventional power and lower electricity costs. This initiative aims for 10-15 MW solar capacity, utilizing NVVN's spare capacity from Delhi Police projects.
