Microsoft didn’t exit overnight: company’s ex-Pakistan head reflects on shutdown

In a nostalgic post, Rehman reflected on the team’s efforts to establish Microsoft’s presence in Pakistan. However, he soon turned his attention to the country’s situation and the “environment” it has fostered. “This is more than a corporate exit. It’s a sobering signal of the environment our country has created... It also reflects on what was done (or not done) with the strong foundation we left behind,” he wrote.
