Odisha govt introduces fail system at Class 5, 8 examinations

The Odisha government has reintroduced a fail system for Class 5 and 8 annual exams, effective this academic year. Amendments to the Odisha Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Rules, 2010, facilitate this change. Students who fail will receive extra instruction and a re-examination opportunity within two months.
