Police officer arrested after domestic violence accusation

A police officer has been arrested after being accused of domestic violence by his partner, according to reports on Wednesday.

News website Alpha reported that the accusation was the third of its kind to be levelled at the officer, who stands accused of having issued threats, interfered in judicial proceedings, actual bodily harm and stalking.

It was also reported that the man was suspended from his duties by police chief Themistos Arnaoutis.
